About Alpharetta / John's Creek / Milton
Alpharetta is located in North Fulton County and is the fastest growing community in Metro Atlanta with a population of 65,000. Founded next to a beautiful spring, Alpharetta began as a campground, called New Prospect Camp Ground. Today the vision of Alpharetta incorporates mid-rise buildings, multiple high tech companies enjoying the suburban surroundings, a major shopping mall and excellent public and private schools, which creates a stable real estate market. Many residential communities feature swim and tennis amenities as well as gated golf course and country club settings. It is a lucrative real estate market with the average home price beginning in the $300,000 range. It is also Fulton County’s most coveted place to live, and the home of the Country Club of the South, one of the most prestigious addresses in Atlanta. Johns Creek, located in the eastern region of North Fulton County became officially incorporated on December 1, 2006, as was the city of Milton. It is named for the tributary that runs through the middle of the area. With a population of 62,000, Johns Creek will become Georgia’s 10th largest city comprised of largely upper class, culturally diverse families. Johns Creek is situated between Roswell on the west and south, Alpharetta on the northwest, Forsyth on the north and Gwinnett County on the south and east. This community, with its live-work-play environment is often the choice for families relocating to the Metro Atlanta area. Real Estate prices are often above $500,000 and many communities offer Swim/Tennis and Golf amenities. With everything that Johns Creek has to provide the residents, there is little reason to leave. Milton, located in North Fulton County was incorporated on December 1, 2006 as was Johns Creek. Milton was so named because the area was originally Milton County and in 1932, merged into Fulton County. Today Milton is a largely rural community, spanning 23,000 acres which is more than the city of Alpharetta with half the population. This distinctive community boasts pastoral landscapes and beautiful homes situated on acreage. Milton believes in maintaining architectural standards both in the real estate arena as well as the business community. This interactive community attributes its popularity to the friendly lifestyle, the strong record of safety and minimal crime and its award winning schools. Milton definitely embraces small town life. Selection of real estate is outstanding with many homes sitting on developed acreage, often including horse farms and other rural commodities.
